Having recently watched the Discovery Channel’s Planet Earth series at a friend’s house in high definition, I was sold on the difference between HD and the normal service that I had been using.

With my old Sony TV not being HD compatible, I upgraded to a Samsung Plasma, and then began to consider whether I was going to go for satellite TV, or upgrade my cable service to HD.
