Are you using an official or unofficial component cable? I noticed for a component cable I bought from target that it is a little harder to insert like the stock nintendo a/v cord.

I have my wii hooked up to a 52 in 1080 LCD sony Bravia...first thing is to check your connection make sure you have your audio/video plugged into the "in" input on the back of the tv there are several inputs back there so make sure the yellow plug is in the yellow input side. Im not familiar with the samsung interface but there should be a input button on your remote you hit to select the different inputs coming into the tv live componet #1,#2, HDMI #1,#2 etc. now there is not a hdmi connector for the wii as there is for the 360 or ps3. on my sony i hit the input button and all the input come up on screen that is plugged in and i just select the componet # my wii is plugged into....I hope that helps you out
